Grafters, visionaries, hotshots, marathon men - midfielders come in many forms. Here we take a look at the good and the great in each guise...
The Playmaker
The midfield his kingdom, the ball an object of his bidding. There’s always one man whom others look for to change the game with a defence-splitting pass that looked so simple when you caught it again on TV, but no-one else saw at the time...
Best in show When the modern good-and-the-great are discussed there’s always a sparkle in the eye when one name crops up: from his teenage years at the Cliff, it was clear Paul Scholes was destined for big things. Possessed of a breathtaking vision starkly at odds with his unassuming demeanour, Scholes owns a range of passing, short and long, that defies belief. With a master key in his boots, he’s unlocked the doors of the shrewdest defences for 15 years - his lights remain undimmed. Scholes’ chipped pass with the outside of his boot over the Stoke City defence for Ryan Giggs this season was a moment to make the heart sing – though, sadly, no goal came of it. Then there’s his goals (plenty with his head, too), 144 and counting – Barça en route to Moscow in 2008, Bradford in 2000/01…

Senior oracle Developer

Oracle employs around 900 people in Ireland, in localisation, sales and product development in their centres in Galway and Dublin.
A sotftware Developer is a person in an organisation concerned with the facets of the software development process, wider than designand codeing a somewhat broader scope of computer programming or a speciality of project managing including some aspects of software product managment.
RDBMS
Short for Relational Database Management System, RDBMS refers to a relational database plus supporting software for managing users and processing SQL queries, performing backups/restores and associated tasks.
Advanced Queue
In computing, Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ) is a sort of Message Oriented Middleware developed by Oracle Corporation and integrated into its Oracle database.
AQ uses database structures as a repository for asynchronous queuing as an element in various Oracle-oriented and heterogeneous operations. Oracle features utilising Advanced Queuing include:
Oracle Data Guard
Oracle Streams
In Oracle Data Guard primary databases the queue monitor process (often running as qmn0) interacts with AQ.
As of Oracle release 9.2, AQ comes bundled with Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition at no extra cost.
As of Oracle release 10.1, AQ is integrated into Oracle Streams, and is called "Oracle Streams AQ".
Oracle AQ used as the internal Java Message Service provider in the Oracle Enterprise Service Bus.
Oracle AQ is available in all editions of Oracle database, including XE.
SQL
Is a database computer language desinged for the retrieval and managment of data in relational database managment systems.
BPEL
Business Process Execution Language is an oasis standard executable language for specifying interaction with web services. Processes in business process execution language export and import information by using web service interfaces exclusively.
XML
Is a set of rules for encoding documents electronically
JDeveloper
Is a freeware IDE from Oracle. Oracle JDeveloper is the main development platform for Oracles tools
Toad
Quest Software recently released version 9.0 of Toad for Oracle, its “industry-leading, proven database development and administration tool that increases user productivity and application code quality.”

Despite being away from home, Sir Alex's men enjoyed approximately 70 per cent of possession in a game in which United goalkeeper Ben Foster didn't have a save to make.
Resolute Stoke defending kept the Reds at bay until the 62nd minute when Berbatov tapped home from close range to finish off a cross from influential substitute Ryan Giggs.
"I think the game changed when Ryan came on," the Bulgarian told MUTV. "You can see the years he has been playing for Manchester United. They really help when you come on to the pitch and make decisions.
"That’s what gave us the three points: his decisions. He played the pass to me to score, and then the free-kick [for United's second on 77 minutes] was another assist for him.
"We needed the three points and we deserve them. Stoke threw everything they had at us and it was a difficult game, but in the end we deserved to win because we attacked them. We wanted to score and we eventually did."

Manchester United are the most successful Premier League club having won the title 10 times. It all began in 1993 when manager Sir Alex Ferguson ended a 26-year wait to lift the Premier League crown.
The signing of Eric Cantona for £1.2m from Leeds United proved a masterstroke as the Frenchman was instrumental in the title victory, along with the likes of Gary Pallister, Denis Irwin, Ryan Giggs and Paul Ince.
United retained the trophy in the following campaign and romped to further titles in 1994, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2003. More silverware was added to the Red Devils' burgeoning trophy cabinet with FA Cup success in 1994, 1996, 1999 and 2004, plus League Cup victories in 1992 and 2006.
Perhaps the most memorable time in the club's history was the treble-winning season of 1999 when they added the European Champions League trophy to the league title and FA Cup.
Chelsea briefly broke their league dominance with title wins in 2005 and 2006. But in the 2006/07 season, the Red Devils roared back to regain the Barclays Premiership.
They went one better last season, enjoying their most successful campaign since winning the treble. They saw off the challenge of Chelsea and Arsenal to win an exciting Barclays Premier League title race and defeated the Blues on penalties in the Champions League final after a 1-1 draw between the two sides in Moscow.
Formed as Newton Heath L&YR F.C in 1878, the club changed its name to Manchester United in 1902. Six years later they clinched the Division One title, then the FA Cup in 1909, and another title triumph in 1911.
Matt Busby became manager in 1945 and steered United to championship victories in 1952, 1956 and 1957. They became the first English club to compete in the European Cup and reached the semi-final, before going out to Real Madrid. Tragedy struck in 1958 when the plane carrying the team home from a European match crashed, killing eight players.
Busby survived and led his rebuilt team to an FA Cup win in 1963, then league titles in 1965 and 1967. United won the European Cup in 1968 with victory over Benfica in the final - the first English club to do so. When Busby resigned in 1969, his successors failed to continue his glorious triumphs and United were relegated five years later.
They managed to regain their top-flight status at the first attempt and later won the FA Cup in 1977. More FA Cup success followed in 1983 and 1985. But it was United's 1990 FA Cup replay win over Crystal Palace that proved to be the springboard to becoming the force they are today.
It saved under-pressure manager Alex Ferguson from losing his job and he went on to win the European Cup Winners' Cup the season after and began their Premier League dominance with the 1993 title.
